Three Business Idea

Food Courier Business - This business will provide delivery services to patrons who would want food delivered to them. We will pick up and and deliver the food to your house with any fast food chain or restaurant locally in your area. (i.e Pho, Teriyaki Restaurants, McDonald,Chipotle etc). First we would start off with an employment of 4 people, each with their own cars.  Hopefully in the future we can produce an app where patrons can find their favorite local restaurants and order off and online menu and in the end it will give them a ending price. The app would merge with their Debit or Credit card information, and whatever the total comes out out be that will be charged from their account. We will hopefully have a small office to start out from, and hopefully expand into a full building.

Food Truck - This business will cater to those who have no time to sit at a restaurant and order something. Instead they could come to out Food Truck which where we will hurriedly prepare their food in a clean and tasty kind of way. The type of food we serve is a fusion of Mexican and Korean foods. Where we blend the exotic taste of South America, with the rich history of Korea. Our food truck will have a different special every week. And to find out where out next location is you would need to follow us on a social media site, such as Twitter or Facebook, to figure out where our next location will be.

Errand Service- This business will run errands for people who dont have time too. You need to pick up groceries but too busy looking after your child? no worries our business will save you. With a flat fee of $____ (currently not available yet) you will be able to get your time wasting errands done. in a time efficient way.

Startup.Com

Startup.com is a documentary directed by Chris Hegedus and Jehane Noujiam, that follows two friends, Kaleil Tuzman and Tom Herman, on their goal to achieving a website portal that allows citizens in local communities to access, or pay for city services, jobs or receive community information. This movie is your typical documentary will very bad camera shakes and mediocre editing skills ( but we can argue about that later). But overall it is a great documentary and in my opinion a great film to look back on the see the rise and fall of a company. As Govworks (before it known as Public Data Systems) just began to start it only started out with a grand total of 8 employees. Govworks came into play to pay or apply for city services , jobs or receive city information. Govworks.com was inspired by Tuzman after he found an old parking ticket in his apartment. The service delivery for Govworks.com was made to offer the service that allowed people to pay for their parking fees through a internet portal. In matter of a few months the company raised its employment by about 20 people and by the end of October 1998 there was 70 people working for GovWorks. The business as a whole was gaining ground and things would get better from there. Tuzam was making deals with big investing companies and gaining trust. But something soon went wrong, and it went all downhill from their. On the day of their website exposure, there were a few bugs still concurrent in the website. and they were not able to launch Govworks unfortunately. As after a awhile Govworks filed for bankruptcy around March 2001.

All in all this documentary is a must see in my opinion, if one would like to see the rise and fall of a company this films could help to understand what to and what not to do. As there are many lessons that can be taught throughout this movie and hopefully through that you will not make the same mistake

What i Want Out of This Class

What I Want Out of This Class

As i enter my second week into this course, this class gained my interest in many ways about business. (something i really never had interest in before). What Professor Fry has taught me that being a business is not an easy thing to accomplish, business are bound to fail no matter what. There are a few that due persevere ( But that's another story). As we talk more about the business life and the struggles that one pursues to start a small business. It made me think, if i ran a business will it do well?, will i be able to keep it going?, how long will it last? As i entered this class my hope for me was to learn ways that will teach me how to identify the good ideas from the bad, to weed out the business ideas that would have no use in the market today. And that's exactly what i'm learning throughout this course. Professor Fry shows us examples on how a market can have a extensive value on a company. Another thing i hopefully i could pull out from this class is ways that a person whom has no business experience whatsoever, if that person will be able to run a small business, and how so, what are the steps into being successful.Hopefully by the end of this class i will have and idea on how to run a small business, and maybe even start my own small business. And grow it and hopefully make it into a profitable company
